The Best and Worst of the SAG Awards

I didn't catch much of the SAG awards, but there was a whole lot of pretty going on this go around...
They're saying you'll either love or hate Rose Byrne's Elie Saab jumpsuit. I LOVE it! Favorite of the night!

Here are a few of my runners up:

And there were a few uglies... Kristen Wiig's choker was by far the worst, but I wasn't a fan of Angelina either. Looks like a halloween witch costume with that cheap looking shiny fabric.

Spring Display!

After a long exhausting (yet fun) week, our Spring display is finally done and it is so pretty! Pictures don't really do the wire flower clusters justice. They look like a magical fairy jungle in person! It feels good to do some Spring cleaning and get everything looking fresh and new! <3 my job!

Best and Worst of the 2012 Golden Globes

I had a lot of TV entertainment this weekend! NFL playoffs (which I'm actually into since Ed got me into a fantasy football playoff league), Miss America Pageant (although I was embarrassed for most of the top 10 during the talent competition I was still entertained) and of course the Golden Globe Awards!!! I have realized that each year I get super excited about the show, but then quickly realize how boring it is and that all I really care about is the FASHION!! Here are my faves!!!!

#1. Heidi Klum
She looks so fresh and springy. I love the simplicity with the pop of aqua. And, the open back that you can't see here. So pretty. By far my fave!

#2. Sofia Vergara
Her hair is a little flat for my taste, but the dress makes up for it. Gorgeous!

3. Kate Beckinsale
So chic... She always looks so pretty!

4. Reese Witherspoon
Bombshell!

#5. Mila Kunis
I love her style!

And, the worst....

1. Tilda Swinton
I often admire her androgynous risk-taking style, but I don't get this... Maybe if it was a different color? No, it would still be ugly. And, the hair... Looks like a toupee.

2. Angelina Jolie
She normally looks so simple and chic, but I HATE this.. Eww.

3. Sarah Michelle Gellar
Eye sore.

4. Zoey Deschanel
Such a shame.. I love Zoey, but this doesn't even look like her style. Not a fan of this.

Ugh.. After all that ugliness, let's look at Heidi again. Here's the back.

London

I love London... It is such a stylish place. And today, the queen of London style turns 30! Happy birthday Kate the Great!

Feeling the Travel Bug

"The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page." - St. Augustine

Although it is quite obvious that Christmas is my most favorite time of year, I always feel nice and refreshed when it is all over and it is time to look ahead to a new year. Along with Christmas, traveling is also high on my list of favorite things. I spent most of last year making a huge transition with my move to Scottsdale and now that I am nice and settled in, I'm getting the travel bug. So inspired my new blog header.

I'm not very big on new years resolutions. Every now and then I'll make one, but I rarely follow it. And, this year I feel quite content in where I am and my outlook on life.

Maybe, this year I'll start a "vision board". I think that's what you call them... It's when you cut out pictures of the things you really want and create a board somewhere where you often look at it. I saw on Oprah a long time ago that if you have a vision board, the likelihood of you achieving your vision or goal is much higher. I believe it, because it is a constant reminder of what you really want. And, if you always have a visual of your goals and the things you really want, then it blocks a lot of the daily distractions that keep you from achieving them.

Goals I want to achieve: advance in my career, get married ;), TRAVEL MORE, move back to New York and find new ways to use and develop my creativity.

Things I want: a new coffee table, dining table, side tables, cool antiques and fabulous clothes of course.

I probably won't be able to purchase/achieve all of these things in just 1 year, but at least I know what I want and feel confident I can achieve most of them. Travel is top on my list right now! Time to start making some plans... Too bad I don't have unlimited funds, but I usually find a way :) So here is to a new year of excitement and exploration! Can't wait to see what it will bring!
